Software-based Network Switching for Datacenter-scale Network Emulation
We aim to develop a software-based network switching system with a primary function to emulate a datacenter-scale network defined over a moderate-scale cluster. It could be used, for example, to better understand the scalability of future network architectures without real deployment in a data center. Currently, we leverage the Xen virtualization technology to intercept and control traffic among of the emulated nodes. Further development is ongoing.
